01 / Match and discover
Start with two matching items.
On the merge board, drag one item onto a matching item of the same level. When the pair can merge, it becomes the next item in that chain. Keep combining matching pairs to discover higher-level items.
Different item chains have their own progression. Two items that look related are not necessarily a matching pair, and items at the end of a chain cannot merge further. Follow the opening tutorial to get familiar with the board before planning longer chains.
A helpful habit: Keep matching items near each other. It makes the next available merge easier to spot.
02 / Give each merge a purpose
Work toward a current order.
Orders ask for particular items. Check what an order needs, find that item’s chain on your board, and merge toward the requested level. When the requirements are ready, complete the order to move your expedition forward.
Completing an order uses the requested items. If an item already matches an order, merging it again may take it past the level you need. Look at your current orders before making your next match.
03 / Make a little room
A clear board is easier to read.
New items need room on the board. If it starts filling up, look for useful matching pairs and ready orders before producing more items. Combining a pair replaces two items with one, and completing an order clears the items it uses.
When inventory is available, you can move supported items there for later. Treat that as extra space for things you want to keep, and leave yourself enough room to continue the item chains you are working on.
04 / Beyond the board
Build a place for your dinosaurs.
The Island is where your expedition’s park takes shape. Follow the available Tasks to develop locations and Dino Paddocks. The board and the Island work together: your current Task tells you what it needs, so use that as your guide when you return to merging.
Construction and dinosaur care are different activities. Check the requirements and any timer shown for the current Task instead of assuming that building a paddock immediately finishes a dinosaur’s growth.
New to the game? Let the opening tutorial lead the way, then alternate between useful board merges, ready orders, and your next Island Task.
